You are the reason all this warmth found me, but you are not just the doorway to it. You are the person who stood beside me through months that would have bent most people, and you never once asked me to be smaller, quieter, or more convenient.
I once wrote that I hoped for a partner who could match me in heart, mind, and word. What I did not know to hope for was someone who could match me in endurance. You did. You do.
We are starting with modest things: a room in your parents' home, a business still finding its feet. But I have never been more certain of a foundation, because ours is built from only two materials, love and honesty, and neither one cracks.
